Art for prayer and reflection
Art can offer a place to pause. A small gesture, an expanse of open water, or a familiar line of Scripture may invite you to slow down and attend to what is before you.

01 · A simple practice
Notice one thing. Stay with it.
Begin with the image. Follow a line, notice a distance, or look at where the light rests. Give yourself time to see the work before deciding what it means to you.
Read the passage named in the artwork’s description, including the surrounding verses. Return to the image and consider what it brings forward. If prayer is part of your practice, respond in your own words. There is no required feeling or right length of time.
02 · Invitations to attention
A word, a distance, a small sign.
Different works can accompany different seasons of attention. Choose a piece whose story you want to understand more deeply, or whose composition leaves you willing to look again.
Restoration
A small blue pool sits among pale, hollowed-looking forms and the words of Psalm 23:3.
