A guide to presentation
Size & framing guide
Choose a size that gives the artwork room to speak, and a finish that feels at home in your space. Start with the wall, compare the proportions, then look closely at the available product views.

01 · Start with the wall
See the size before you choose it.
Mark the proposed print dimensions on the wall with paper, then view them from your usual seat or standing position. Consider the space around nearby furniture, windows, and lighting. For a pair or group, mark the whole arrangement.
Dimensions below are width × height in inches and refer to the nominal print or canvas size. An outer frame adds to the finished dimensions. If you are fitting a tight space, contact us about the exact product before ordering.
02 · Proportions
Landscape or portrait.
Landscape works use a 3:2 proportion; portrait works use 4:5. Available sizes depend on the format. The product selector is the place to check the options for your chosen artwork.
| Format | Landscape · 3:2 | Portrait · 4:5 |
|---|---|---|
| Framed poster | 18 × 12 30 × 20 36 × 24 |
8 × 10 16 × 20 |
| Unframed canvas | 18 × 12 30 × 20 |
8 × 10 |
| Framed canvas | 18 × 12 30 × 20 36 × 24 |
8 × 10 16 × 20 |
Sizes and finishes can vary by artwork. Check the product selector for the current choices before planning your arrangement.
03 · The outer edge
Three ways to present the work.
Consider the definition of a framed print, the simplicity of a canvas without an outer frame, or the additional edge of a framed canvas. The examples below show Aground at 18 × 12 in.
Framed poster
A paper print presented in a frame. Current frame choices are Black, Red Oak, and White. Example shown in Black.

Unframed canvas
A canvas stretched over a support, with no outer frame. This is a stretched canvas rather than a rolled print.
