The work

A weathered ark rests above a wide, pale basin. Dark, ink-like marks define its timber, while broken lines of stone sweep around the open ground below.

Inspired by Genesis 8:1–19, Aground reflects on God’s preservation of life through the flood and the waiting that follows. The vessel has come to rest, but the journey toward a new beginning is still unfolding.

Part of Parable & Pine’s Genesis collection, this contemporary biblical artwork pairs intricate detail with generous quiet space. Its restrained palette and wide composition bring a contemplative presence to living rooms, studies, and places of gathering.
